Kshetra Darsan at Satara

With Blessings of Jagadguru Sri Paramacharya (Jagadguru Shri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati,  68^th Jagadguru Shankaracharya of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham. ) we decided to perform veda parayana along with rudra homam for Loka Kalyanam at 108 divya kshetras which are visited by sri paramacharya swami at the time of his padayatra.

We perform below activities at each divya kshetra with blessings of Sri Paramacharya.

During these activities at  SATARA KSHETRAM  we  captured few clicks.

Satara is a town located in the Satara District of Maharashtra. The town gets its name from the Seven (Sat) Hills(Taras) surrounding it.

The Vyasa-puja of the year was performed at Satara on 27th of July, 1980. During His long camp at Satara,  His Holiness Pujyasri Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Mahaswamiji desired that a temple for Sri Nataraja on the model of the ancient Nataraja temple at Chidambaram should be constructed at Satara. Samanna (late) an ardent devotee of the Acharya and a prominent citizen of Satara gifted away an adequate plot of land for building the temple.

Sri Maha Swamigal decided to have 108 bhangimas of sri nataraja swami at the premises of temple which are very attaractive for the temple.
